You were going to celebrate this holiday with your girlfriend, Joyce, but a pleasant evening was interrupted by an uninvited guest, and now you have to do your best to survive this Christmas. Crimson Snow is a story-driven horror game about the dark events of one Christmas night. Make your way through the strange house lighted with Christmas decorations and hide from the otherworldly stalker obsessed with you. Your girlfriend, Joyce, will help you escape or… she will become another victim herself — your fate depends on your words and decisions. What awaits you: Christmas night became the night of horror. Experience the mix of festive atmosphere and paranormal nightmare. Watch what you say and do. Your life and the life of your girlfriend depends on it. The secrets of your past will not leave you alone. Unlock them or they’ll destroy you. Yes, you can CURRENTLY play this in VR using the -vr Unreal Engine hack. Simply type “-vr” in the game launch options & have your VR headset ready to play this in VR. BEWARE: the developer may update the game and this hack may stop working in the future. I do not recommend buying this game solely for the VR due to the above listed reason. However, I hope after watching my video, that the dev decides to officially support VR.

This game has several issues in VR. The biggest issue is that you cannot see the menu & it’s difficult to navigate. I recommend playing this game in non-VR and figuring out how to start the game from Keyboard input only (tab & enter). It should be obvious, but motion controllers are not supported. This game is KBM only, but the menu is basically only keyboard since you can’t see the mouse cursor for menu items. The second big issue is related to the above, it is difficult to pick up objects … because the mouse cursor is off center. I would say just pretend the mouse cursor is in the middle of your screen and just be persistent. Left click, space, enter, Q, E, & F are your friends for inputting the required controls. Lastly, optimization is pretty bad. I was getting 30-45 fps on my RTX 3080. So you do have to have strong VR legs or be a VR veteran to enjoy this experience in VR. However, if you can look past all the above issues, this is a fun horror experience in VR. I just hope the devs adds official support.
